People in a lmost every tradition are revisioning the place of Earth and the “earthly” in their beliefs and spiritual practice. For Christianity\, this means re covering the neglected\, even suppressed\, encounter with the life of this planet as filled with wisdom\, sacred presence\, and the Divine. How can we walk this renewed Path alive to Meister Eckhart’s sense of “God at the heart of all things”? How can we rediscover the Scriptures as a manual f or living in this amazing evolutionary reality\, which Isaiah saw as “full of God’s glory?”
\nSpiritual practice not only needs to be “embodie d” in the organic reality our earthling-ness\, but in the “embedded” reali ty of creation as a community— “all my relatives\,”—from the stars to the green and blue living web of life. Using insights and practices from Celti c Christian spirituality\, deep ecology\, inter-religious wisdom and the “ new universe story” of the evolving cosmos\, we will explore ways to align our everyday awareness of the ways the Divine is manifest in life-giving ways. How do we walk daily with the God who raised us from the primal dus t to behold and breathe in the breath of heaven?
\nThis group will m eet monthly on Zoom\, with some periodic in-person gatherings planned as c onditions permit.

As Jung\, a contemporary\, has counseled holding the tension of such opposites and waiting until the y move can lead to breakthrough and wisdom. In The Book of Hours are found all of Rilke’s major themes: love\, death\, the fears of childhood\, the idolization of woman\, and\, finally\, the matter of “G od”. Dr. Tim ‘Connell will lead this afternoon of poetr y and pondering.
\nTim O’Connell\, Ph D. has been practicing psychotherapy since 1980. Tim takes a transpersona l approach to his work.
