Looking through the Lens of Love
Photography as Spiritual Practice
Saturday,  October  22
10:00 am-3:00 pm
The Community of St John’s Mendham
As people of faith, what are the core attitudes that keep us both grounded and positively engaged during challenging times? Eight hundred years ago, Francis of Assisi had a spiritual awakening that transformed him and the way he viewed the world. The vision that spoke to the turbulent times of his day still speaks to us in our own lives, awakening us to the presence of God in the world. Spiritual guide and photographer Paul Kimmerling invites us to open our eyes to that same sense of awe and gratitude through the use of photography as a spiritual practice. The focus is not on the mechanics of photography, but on “seeing” in a new way. Join us for this unique day of contemplation as we look through the lens of love.
