This academic introduction to the Apostolic Writings and Gospels will explore through study, reading assignments, reflection and discussion, the New Testament writing within their historical context. Attention will be given to both the writer’s intent, the style of the literature, and ways to bring their message alive in our post-modern context. This 12-week course can be applied to Diaconate Training Certification for the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, and is open to any interested in understanding early Christianity better.
