Poet Wisdom: Navigating Our Way in Perilous Times

Floods; fires; pestilence; exiles – Sounds like apocalyptic times right out of the Hebrew Bible. But it is here and now. Poets and prophets are looked to for vision at such times to help navigate difficult and uncertain waters. Under the rubric of ‘Seeing Things,’ we will look at poems by some of the outstanding poets of our times. We will scrutinize their exact and apt language and their vivid imaging’s to help us shift our perception, so that we see more clearly what is happening now and what we might hope for in the future. Timothy O’Connell will lead this afternoon workshop.
