EV charger wiring changes happen more often than people expect. Placing access panels at junction points makes upgrades simple. I choose larger sizes with smooth interiors and tool-free magnetic doors for easy cable pulling. The one I installed has reinforced edges for bigger spans and takes garage-gray paint well. It’s held up to tool bumps without denting. I fitted a tough wall access panel for drywall (18×24) near the charger run and it’s already made adding a second unit straightforward. Label wires inside for quick reference.
